Bubble Wrap


    The scope of the project was to achieve a stop-motion animation that would fit into the scenery of the setting. The idea was to shoot the idea in one of the gyms, but the troubles of having it reserved for shooting couldn't be done. From the pre-planning of talking to the video teacher and acquiring their equipment for the animation, the project had to be changed and noted with change of plans to another location. Pre-sketches were done with the gym layout and needed scratching. After shooting the new location, the pictures needed editing with photoshop because of some errors of the images.
    the project eventually made me mess around with photoshop with patching some visual errors. Operating the camera and equipment is something that had to be learned and meddled with. something thats would be done diff from me would be movement during the shooting that i would be moving differently. My actual acting needs to be different for my take. Face expressions from me need to be changed. The subjects that I would like to stay the same is the process of getting the project in motion and having it mapped out because it gave a good aproach on the subject and i felt the way was efficient.
    the process of getting the plan in motion is something that i would try to stay around the process and keep it. the difficulties that came from trying to get the rough draft and the times synced would be an obstacle that needs to be noted during project making. Overall, the project went pretty well once we achieved our setting and we diddnt have much problems coming from the hall.

Blog Final Piece(finished)

Conception:

    My project of the first quarter is a Dualshock 4 controller(playstation 4 controller). I wanted to spark a conversation about the controller because if people know some of the details about the controller or camera movements, then people that know of the controller could speak and they'd get more credit of details of the controller. The main point would be the conversation sparked and more focus on the camera movements and details of modeling with the judges can point the smallest of things out. I tried more than 2 ways of trying to take on this project, but I deleted some of the rough files one day so i can't show those. Settling on the final building it from blocks and normal pieces to get it flowing easier too. I was originally going to build a structure of some sorts or character related projects, but I went with modeling and the fact that helped me out the most would be that I have the controller so the modeling goes better than only having internet references. I would start out using lynda, but then learning of a easier more possible way of doing it made lynda un needed so I just stopped eventually.


Planning:

 I was originally going to not do modeling. I was original looking at buildings or characters related projects, but I had a playstation 4 controller and that made the choice of modeling easier. My plan at the beginning was to go from creating polygon tool then go from there. The problem that occurred was eventually too many vertices for it, so I trashed it mostly. Then I tried creating it from a rectangle with messing with insert edge loops and smoothing and checking back and forth, but never finished it cause the visual of the controller wasn't there and was lost.  With pre-production, I was watching a lot of lynda videos, then stopped with lynda after I figured out a better way.





Creation:

 A lot of little projects that combined into one big object was the way my project went. Everything was built individually like the camera sticks, shoulder buttons, right side buttons, directional buttons and more into one. My hardest times were getting the project up and running fulling because the techniques were not clear for me to take off running, then the other problem was merging the vertices in the controller handles with each other. The merging vertices were the biggest problem and I had to deal with what i had by trying to mask the vertices under the camera movement. Once I started the actual final controller, I didn't need to go back to the beginning and I went through the walls eventually and cooped. I started with lynda, but i dropped her, then I picked up the modeling and then I grabbed my controller from my house and used it for the reference instead of internet. A celebration of mine was going back in and fixing some of the problems that was happening with camera movements and some obstacles in the shots like the computer looking object and once I started the final form of the controller, the calendar that I was making had dates that I'd surpass easy. I'd have to go change some dates or just make new mini projects scheduled.


Self-Critique:
Its hard to make a controller in maya. the handles on the controller gave the hardest brick wall to go over with soo many vertices. I got the hang of smoothing surfaces and messing with some of the settings. Creating bits of the project and having them form into 1 bigger main project worked. I had to get the 2 controller handles set and ready, but when I combined the 2 pieces of them, it created vertices that I had to combine, but the problem would be that id have to merge vertices and have it keep looking wrong and not smooth and round. The final controller is very very close to the real image of the controller. I didn't have some of the details in it because knowledge and time. I could've easily make the speakers in the controller with creating cylinders and cutting holes with them, but never got to it for a reason. I think it came out better than what was possible in the beginning for me. The overall finished project feels good to me and with more time, I'd spend it on figuring out how to make certain features happen and tools that would be used correctly.


After the class critiques:

Wooden table texture wasn't lined up correctly, but the overall of the outcome is good.. I fixed the camera problem and made it more smooth and a person on can easily see the controller now without the camera shooting past everything. The critiques that were made were good and the critiquing was there and they are noticeable on screen. Blinn and phong E are special for light part but I don't see reflection of light off my controller in real life so when I look at the decisions of the controllers texture, I don't really see the texture as that wrong.

got the analog formed and now to get the "holder",can't think of a name for it, to be made and going to try to fit puzzle pieces together.
now have to start putting them together.
I'm sure this is looking close to right. Onto other objects to get them up and looking close.

mp4 video of the particle wiggling in the forest.
the null object is being connected at the top left by the wiggling particle. the null object is the main reason for the particle to be moving because the particle cannot move arpund on the screen by itself so th ewiggle set on the null object makes the particles and there settings to move around on the corner of the null object.
these are the only scenes that ive put into because the tutorial showed that he had a bunch of visual scenes, but i diddnt have them so i got the two different scenes and copied the forest scenes and i put the dirt floor. i shouldve put slender man into the background of the forest ti have that easter egg probably.

particles


these are some of the settings that ive had to mess with to get it going randomly through its motions and visuals. i can mess with these settings in the future to play around with the visuals of the random particle lines and wiggles.



these settings ive had to look at and wonder where they connect to with there words and other small coding things. the red numbers i had to tether to the other layer to let the particle follow the null object since the particles dont move on their own.

the null object is connect to the layer of the particle because of the tether that i attached from the other xyz positions from the solid particle layer. the use of the 'wiggle' makes the lines to a random pattern to whatever u set the numbers in the parenthesis.

holy light

     Once the church bells start going, they emit the holy light of the church. its not possible for a bell to emit light but in this case the holyness takes place in the light show and tells them to go back into there graves for another day of normality in the life of the dead. the plausibility of this happening in this situation makes sense for this because of the darkness gets sight of the church light to remind them that theres always the good threat of that good can always cross paths with evil and make there difference in the confrontation. for the bells to emit white light when struck is not possible, but in the case of demons and the dead on top of a mountain would make sense

Dancing Flame 

    the impossibility of flames actually dancing is nonexistent because of it doesnt have a body to move and sway with dancing. the possiblilty for flames to be dancing is visually intact. to see physical features that are seen in the flames, is not a very possible thing. its very possible in real life to have someone being burned alive and they could flail and have other people see them and make stories of fires having some physical attributes to them so the stories can grow into dancing flame spirits around certain occasions. Flames can sway in the air and look like its dancing so the visual look of it makes it possible for fire to actually be dancing.

il n'est pas possible pour les démons à danser à cause d'eux étant mort pour commencer. la plausibilité de cet être une chose est une idée fausse du sens de yeux dans la vie réelle. il a une possiblitity pour elle aussi se produire si quelqu'un belived en rien que le concept de démons existent et peuvent voir que theres démons à venir autour de la nuit pour se joindre à une autorité supérieure à la louange et tel. son possible aussi parce que des personnes réelles de la vie serait s'habiller en vêtements démoniaques pour la situation rituel à la louange à dieu (s). ils auraient s'habiller en peaux d'animaux morts et sacrifier les gens y cible et de regarder et de la danse avec des éloges. de sorte que la possibilité que cela se produise est acording pour les yeux.

its not possible to have shadowy fingers creep across the town for high up on the mountains. the possibility of the fingers is possible due to the fact that clouds flying over can cast the shadows out onto the town to make shadowy fingers to the people. the showing of this would resemble the fingers casted by the demon to get the dead from the town. its plausible in the way that the demons arms can go into witchcraft mode and go through the walls and such to pull the dead from there graves.

   In the video, its a Plausible take when the demon is on top of the mountain and opens its wings and is just there.with this, its not real to have this happening in real life because demons dont exist in this form of physicality but its possible because of a long time ago, demons and witches were very real and there couldve been sightings of things like this happening by just people looking high up in the mountains and looking at a figure that they cant explain so they would just call it a demon.
